The Henderson facility is located on approximately 15 acres in an industrial/agricultural area of unincorporated Adams County, 20 miles northeast of downtown Denver. The site was constructed in 1980 by its original owner, Oil and Solvent Process Company. In 1981, the facility became the first hazardous waste operation in the United States to be granted a RCRA Part B Hazardous Waste Permit.
